We use the right bearings for the job ...
Quality Thomson leadscrews...
Here are just some of the components that go into our Intelligent Controller. Note that the toroidal transformer shown is included only in our Australian 240v model... international customers only need to purchase and install the correct transformer for their location. The toroidal efficiently supplies the 'grunt' needed to drive the steppers.
Quality Thomson leadscrews and ball nuts are supplied. Our specially designed nut holders allow for accurate allignment ...once it's all in place just tighten the grub screws and you are ready for smooth running.
We use the right bearings for the job at hand and a combination of roller, thrust and angular thrust bearings are supplied as appropriate for the kit you purchase.
Good bearings make the kit a bit more expensive however we think you'll agree that it's worth a few extra dollars up front to know that the job is done right and will last.
Kits which include stepper motors also include loom tubes and clamps to finish off the job and make for a very professional finish. They also help to protect the wiring. Of course to fit the 4-way as shown here an additional cutout is required to be made in the rear cover ... but you can use these clamps and tubes in whatever way suits your needs.
X, Y and Z stepper motors. Standard motors supplied are 270oz inch and are matched to our pulley ratio to give speed and reliability at low cost.
Our design has the added advantage of increasing the Y travel to around 190mm. NOTE that this increase is evenly distributed in both forward and backward movement.
Our original Y assembly. The complete unit including covers protrudes around 20mm less than the original X3 Y handle (covers not shown).
The hole in the side of the cover plate is in line with the capscrew which holds the pulley to the leadscrew. This is to enable the use of an allen key to make small adjustments in the table position. New HDPE covers are closed however the hole can be easily cut through if you want it.
X assembly with stepper motor fitted. You can just see the black loom tube which contains the motor wiring. Note that we now supply black HDPE one piece covers.
X axis thrust bearing plates and stepper motor plate. Note the temporary spacer used in place of the pulley.
New right hand X plate includes a bearing (recessed from the other side of course...)

Replacement leadscrew with bush and original X3 thrust bearing.
Leadscrew inserted into the lower Z bracket.
Designed for the Sieg X3 and Super X3 Mills our products will enable you to convert a manual machine into a very capable NC unit.
Kits which include stepper motors also include loom tubes and clamps...
